Linking Files (e.g. Assignments in Word, PDF, PPT)

If you want to link to a website, a Word document, to handouts the students can print off, or to link to an assignment sheet that you want the students to print off, fill in the sheet by hand and physically hand it into you in class.

Linking a Website


  1. Click "Edit Settings" (gear icon).
  2. Highlight the text that will become the link
  3. Click the Link button in the editor
  4. Enter the link destination in the input box, then click, "create link." [Optional: check "open in new window"]
  5. Test the link

Linking a File (Word, PDF, PPT...)

This procedure is similar to the previously mentioned above.

  1. Click the Edit button (gear icon).
  2. Highlight the text that will become the link
  3. Click the Link button in the editor
  4. Click, "Browse repositories" and locate the file in File Explorer.
  5. Click, "Upload File"
  6. Test the link
